Ok, i've wasted hundreds of dollars promoting and marketing my website, and nothing seems to work. I still get no traffic whatsoever.
Right now i've got about $150 left on me, and i really don't wanna waste it on another false marketing plan. If anyone can help me with a real legitimate plan that fits my budget, i would really appreciate it.

Can I suggest you post your site in the reviews section of the forum. This can be found here:

http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/forum55.html

It's good to get feedback from others.

I would also analyse why other campaigns failed before spending another dime. A good place to start would be your server logs. See what pages were popular and what pages weren't.

Well ... what different things have you tried already, and what have your experiences been?

ie I tried doing banner advertising but very few people clicked and/or there were few conversions

Does anyone have any ideas on promoting a website without just using Facebook !

In SEO there's always no short cuts in everything it will take time to recognize your site by the search engines and as well as searchers. The process of everything in SEO is based of the hard work you applied to your site. The more you work the more of chances of having a good traffic.

hi
SEO is best for your website promote for you.

SEO is the best way to promote but 1st you have to made your site structure strong!

SEO will help you to get more traffic to your site which is one way of promoting it. The higher the traffic the higher the possibility for more visitors. Then you can also try social media marketing using social network and bookmarking sites. Manage each website profile account properly and efficiently.

I tell you what go to Starbucks haha. But seriously at coffee shops you have bloggers who create dozens to a hundred ofblogs a week and enjoying there coffee at the same time. They don't have jobs and they most definitley dont spend money to do so. And through it all they manage to pay there bills by blogging. I'm not suggesting that you do the same but if so, you'll find that its not easy, it takes dedication and hard work. Even if you tried SEO,
you are still going to have to put in work, SEO can't do it for you. What I would do is search sites that has the same niche as your and has a lot of traffic. Get in touch with some of the web owners through there contact forms and let them know your situation. Maybe they can advertise your product for a reasonable price on there site. If you think you can do it alone then your website wont flourish. You need a team and a stratedy. Do some massive backlinking and leave urls behind your signature or profiles name. Visit different forums and comment on blogs.

There are lots of method to promote your site, I agree with SEO, its good method to promote your site include Profile creation, classified and Social Bookmarking

Right Seo and smo is best and right way to promote your webiste and u can also use google plus

You should start guest posting because it works pretty well..I have recently guest posted on a big blog and now I am getting over 3 go 4 thousand extra visitor from that guest post....hope that helps and if you don't know how to write guest post then you can out source the work..cheers

You may use promo site services form the companies which provide paid forum posting.

For the promotion of a website SEO is the best. SEO improves the visibility of website in search engine and helps in getting traffic.

As suggested the SEO is the best method of gettting your website noticed. How much time have you spent on reading up on SEO or other type of optimization plans for your web site? I can assure you that there are no magic tricks, you have to be using the right tags throughout. Specifically the search word needs to be optimized. Capitilization is often frowned upon and the bots will ignore too much of a deliberate attempt to make your site flashy with over used descriptions. Think about the search word in how your site is represented. I am not a expert and have only put together a couple of sites, selling one of them. But I do know that as I stated it is the search words and the arrangement of them in your header, banner, as well as in the content itself. I hope I have been some assistance, do some more digging. You will find all kinds of free information online as well as at your public library.

Have you thought of it this way - probably, it's your offer/service that is not converting.
You probably have not set up a good sales pitch on your site.

However, if it's a traffic problem, try forum posting. Search for relevant active forums to your website's niche, register, help guys out with answers (assuming you are an expert on that niche) and have a sig. on your profile.

If it's a blog, also try RSS marketing and blog submission.

Do not go for PPC if you have $150 to spare. It's darn too expensive and high risk.

You can also try solo ads if you have an autoresponder on your site. This way, you will get an avalanche of traffic, make sales and at the same time capture emails for future sales.
I hope this helps.

Well, you can do manual link building.. write articles and post them everywhere. You can buy a Scrapebox for $47 or $57. It's a very good tool that will help you out a lot.

I suggest social media. Like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. These are great resources, since individuals perpetually visit these sites.

Use internet marketing techniques for promoting your website on the search engines

I see that you made 42 post only in this forum. What I don't see is a signature with a link to your site. This will increase your visitors on site ... and is free.
