The rom drive refuse to read nor play any media. Windows xp home SP2 stops from opening up just before desktop comes on. i can only boot into safe mode. did all i know of troubleshooting i got no clue as to what is wrong. Now i just want to wipe all off by asking the XP Set-Up to format. As the drive is not playing no disc and pc won't boot up to windows desktop, What else can i do?
Note: This machine is not connected to the internet so i cannot do that as it is now. This is a one partition drive C: only as well so no alternative OS except the Command Prompt and other tools that comes with WinXP.
Please guys do come to my aid.
