Hi, I've looked at the other threads and didn't find anything that solved this problem. I can't eject the tray using right click and eject or the eject button under the tray. The only way it opens is if I press hard into the pinhole under the tray. The device is working properly when I checked its Properties.

I'm not sure if this is of any relevance, but I recently installed a program from a CD that was meant for win 98/95. The program froze and when I used cntrl alt del I noticed my Desktop was completely blurry. I uninstalled the program and removed the CD. I shut down and rebooted. On the reboot I noticed that the tray wouldn't open. Any help is appreciated.

have you tried un-installing the program or doing a system recovery?
