I bought a new Dell 8400 in January. It has 2 Seagate 160 gig SATA hard drives in a RAID 1 array. I want to add another single drive to use for video capture and such. I don't need mirroring on this drive as the contents will not be critical. I was thinking of purchasing another Seagate drive just like what I have in case one of my RAID drives ever fails, I will already have a matched drive to move into the array and in the meantime, I can use it for my video files. How hard would it be to add this single drive into my system?

Are you talking about actully cuting out part of the case or removing a pannel from the back of the machine and puting it in there or are you talking about opening it up and doing something insideish
