After returning to my notebook, the keyboard did not work. I clicked "restart". I noticed that there were updates to be installed on starting. The screen went black, and never came back. What to do?

Does it still post to the screen? at what point does the screen die? If it is after windows loads then you probably just have bad video drivers, boot to safe mode and take out the video drivers and try different ones.
