i have a ACER travelmate ,when my laptop starting up it shows HDD password,i know the password but how can i deactivate this password? PLS help me!!!!!!!!.

Go to security settings in BIOS.

I don't know how acer bios is specifically, but usually you can push F1 at boot time, to get to bios.
Then just search for the setting.
