it could be a bad video card or monitor, but with out more info from you as to what happens when you turn it on ,its hard to say what it might be

If you have a spare monitor, you can test it out to see whether the PC's monitor is the one having problem.

try to clean your memory by a pencil eraser.. then turn back on...
