I have a Seagate 6 terrabyte external hard drive that I have been using for addition recording room for my old Dish Network receiver and have many shows and movies recorded. Now that I have, thankfully switched to Direct TV, I cannot play Dish programming in Direct TV equipment. So, hoping not to loose all of those unwatched pay per views, I tried to connect to my windows XP computer via the USB (the only connection on it). It caused a software download but never recognized the new hardware. Is this able to be connected?
