I have a dead USB drive that reads used space 0 bytes and free space 0 bytes. I learnt that this is caused by a bug in Windows. Ive tried a couple of utilities to recover but in vain. Does anyone know a utility that can help me recover the drive.

Another interesting point that I need explanation is that I used one of my utilities to format a similar drive. The end result was that it didnt crash however it was reduced dramatically in size. How come :?: Thanks

It isn't a bug as far as I know. This happens when the ddrive itself goes kaput. I've had 3 drives do this to me, all of them were later confirmed to be bad.
