Okay so i just bought an ipod after my cd player crapped out on me, time to get in to this new century we are in.

I also bought a new computer a few weeks ago, having all my music about 45gigs + on my old computer i decied that i need this old hard drive in my new computer.

i begin to fiddle witht he jumpers, restarting the computer x ammount of times and redoing the jumpers untill the hard drive shows up on my computer.

now i have it working alright, i can xfer to my new ipod now, huzzah..

wrong!

it keeps telling me that my old hard drive has not been formatted yet, and if i would like to reformat it now.

I hit no because i dont want to loose all that music and now i come to you guys.

Help me out please i dont want to have to redownload all that music again, it took me years

use getDataBack fat/ntfs(depends on file system type) to recover files which are stored on your hd, then reformat it.
