i have a 80 gig as my main drive. i have another drive 160gig as my secondary set as slave. how do i transfer all of my contents on the 80 gig drive to my 160gig, as i want to use my 80 gig on a different machine.

if i'm not mistaken you want to replace the old 80gb disk with the new 160gb and you don't want to reinstall windows and other staff? there such progs that allow you to transfer all the staff including installed windows on a new hd, one of them that i remember is migrate easy from acronis, it's a very good and relible prog, and above all it's simple.
