When I load up my laptop, Sony Vaio VGN-FS980, the windows XP loading screen takes and extraordinary amount of time then before and also when I get to my desktop, my network connections is stopped and norton is stopped. They wont even load. When I click help and support and error reading "Windows cannot open Help and Support because a system service is not running. Start the service named 'Help and Support.'" Well I did that by running msconfig and restarted my computer but everytime is loads again it is disabled. This goes the same for everything else. I Also tried doing a system retore but that didnt work either. What to do..?

Has all the behaviors of a failed hard drive. You will need another hard drive to test to be sure.
