I have a 2.5'' SATA hard drive in a notebook but it has failed in some way. I need to get my files off it. So Im wondering can I just use regular SATA cables (power and serial) to hook it up to my desktop computer to start transfering files? Or do i have to get a specialized adapter to hook it up to my computer? THank you so much for any help.

PS: Here is what the connecters look like on the 2.5" hard drive:

Both notebook and desktops use the same SATA and power connectors.
