I was surfing the Internet, and when I closed my Internet browser, my mouse does not worked! My Avira antivirus do not detected anything! What is going on?

described a sudden loss of mouse input after closing a browser while Avira found nothing. and suggested quick fixes and alternate AVs, and later reported the mouse works in Safe Mode on Windows ME but networking/ports are disabled there. Those clues point to two broad causes: hardware/port failure, or a software/driver/startup conflict (including stealthy malware).

Practical checklist to narrow it down:

  • Hardware first: test the mouse on another PC or try a different mouse and different USB/PS2 port. If the pointer responds in the BIOS or boot menu, the hardware is OK.
  • Safe Mode difference: if the device works in Safe Mode but not normal boot, disable non-Microsoft startup items and services (use Autoruns to audit startup entries) and reboot to isolate the offender. See Autoruns for tips and safe usage (Autoruns).
  • Offline and second-opinion scans: some infections hide from an on-system AV. Create a rescue/bootable scanner on another machine or run reputable second-opinion tools after you can connect to the net. A commonly used scanner is Malwarebytes (Malwarebytes).
  • Drivers and Device Manager: check for disabled or flagged HID/USB devices and reinstall or roll back drivers. Restarting Explorer or relevant services can sometimes restore input.
  • If you cannot fix it, back up important files and consider an OS repair/restore. For legacy systems like Windows ME, use another PC to prepare rescue media because networking in Safe Mode may be limited.

Cautions: back up data before changing drivers or running boot-time tools. If unfamiliar with Autoruns or rootkit-detection, get help—missteps can disable the system.

hey use.. kaspersky antivirus..its gud..
actually your system got hangged that time open task manager...
n close the application which s n't responding....

I think you need to use nod32....thats all it will show its magic....
