Please can you help I have what is called explorer.exe on my computer is this a virus. My computer is running really slow and says it is very low on memory. Should I get rid of this eplorer.exe and if so how.

Please please please help before I throw my computer out the window

:sad: Please can some one help my computer is going so slow and not up to usual working speed. I have done spybot but nothing is showing up on that.

Download Ewido and scan your computer with it.

You can download a trial version of Ewido here: http://www.ewido.net/en/

Be sure you update it before using it, and when it finds a problem, be sure to select the check box to do the same action (clean) when it finds a problem, otherwise, you will have to click continue, to keep scanning with every problem it finds.

Go to IE/Tools Menu/Internet Options/Temporary Internet Files section click on the delete files, then check box to delete offline files.

Reboot your computer, and continuously tap the F8 key, and select Safe Mode from the menu, then turn off any screensave, now go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmeter and defrag your hard drive.

No, explorer.exe is part of windows, so don't get rid of it.
