Over the last week my computer has become very slow at opening files. When I log onto my account the computer is very slow to load and then if I Click 'start' and Choose 'all programs' it can take up to five minutes for the programs to appear, however it does open the rectangular window for them but it is grey. When the programs do appear it then takes a little longer to select them as the computer seems to freeze as the mouse moves over them. Going direct to 'my computer' can also be very slow. Internet explorer appears to work fine though.
Also this week some of my files names/descriptions text colour has changed from black to blue. Some icons especialy for office have also defaulted from the standard microsoft icons to blank box type ones. I don't know if these events are connected or not.
So far I been looking through the forums and performed some cleaning using ccclean and removing all temorary files. I also have used mcafee virusscan and spybot but cannot detect anything. I have got a Hijackthis log and if anyone can spare the time to look at it a see if i have a problem I would be very grateful. Thanks:)
