Beyond Frustration

First time user... please be patient. My laptop is killing me. It takes 6 minutes to turn on, and on shut down after 16 minutes, I just force it off. I didn't download anything recently. Upgraded my Steganos 2006, but had the problem before. I have tried Registry Mechanic and anything else a novice can do. Always ontop of my Norton, etc..

I just don't know what else to try. Here is my log:

Try adding some more RAM, or removing some processes by using the config utility. Also try running some spyware cleaners.

I run Ad-Aware & Steganos sweeper. I have 1 meg of ram. Do you have a source of where I can compare my file names in msconfig so I don't kill something I shouldn't have?

The best bet would just be to remove them one at a time. Restart. if everything appears to work, then take the next one off. Try a google serach for default XP processes. It should show you what you need.
