I am new to this site but can see that this is the place to get help.
Very briefly, recently I have been unable to access my HotMail, Windows Update sites, etc. This seemed to coincide with having run some Spyware removal software. I also had the problem where I could not change my IE homepage, but have now resolved that.
This happens for both IE7 and Firefox. I also run a laptop on the same network and through the same router where it is possible to connect and get access.
I have read quite a number of the articles in this forum and tried many of the fixes but this has not resolved the issue (sorry if I missed the key one).
My conclusion is I have some malicious software lurking in the background and my Norton Antivirus cannot detect it. So like many others I have downloaded HijackThis and attach the log below in the hope that someone can help me.
Whatever help will be much appreciated.
