The girl I work with used to have Norton AV which I managed to talk her into killing off for AVG. However she has a small issue of Requesting Virus Scan, everytime she opens an Office application.
I don't want to have to reinstall NAV just to remove that stupid plugin setting from the options menu, so any ideas on how to rid it without using NAV?
To totally remove Any Norton product from your system you must use their removal tool. If you did not use that, and you only used "Add/Remove Programs" in control panel, then Norton is still in your system. Please use the removal tool, which can be found here:

You may have to open it in Internet Explorer to be able to read the sections, Norton doesn't like Mozilla Firefox.
