hi, have just got a webcam and it installed the driver ok but when i go on chatrooms, and turn on the video, nothing happens. what do i need to have to get this to work? i am currently installing directx 9.0. will this help?

don't think directx will be the problem ,its with the chat room and you would be best served if you asked in the chat room ,one would think .
I don't so chat room and web cams ,but do remember a few years back helping with someone who did had the problem was with setting up the chat program and the webcam !
