my application windows disappears immediately after opening - Windows Task Manager (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del ) pops up then disappears:: when I go to Start, Run, Command, I do get the same problem::: I try Start, Run, regedit, the same problem, everytime the screen shows and disappers::: I try to install Norton Antiviurs from the CD, when I try to type in the Product Key the screen disappears etc it also occurs when i try to install any new program also i hv formatted ad reinstalled xp but prob persisits ihv an assembled pc with 1 gb ram running on win xp sp2

Go to Google search page and type in "dialafix". Download this program and then check all the items and click "Go". This should fix your issue. If IE doesn't stay open as well then try it in Safe w/Networking.
