I have reinstalled windows XP on My old Pc -an intel celeron 900mhz 128kb.

The problems I am having now is:
1) some times the windows xp does not open up when i swith the pc on.It stops with a windows xp logo on.
2)when it logs on after several attempts of booting(switching on and off).It freezes within first 10minutes of logging in.
3)I have open the device manager and it doesnt show any yellow question mark on any devices.
N.B My factory resetting disk doesnt work.when i tries it says something like the back up image partion not found.

If you need to run an old PC you should run an old windows as well like Win 98. It also sounds like you re-partitioned and reformatted your drive removing the initial manufactures back up partition.
