Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie with this problem on my Toshiba laptop.
It will not boot past this error message, see thread title, and I do not want to re-format the drive and lose my data.
Is there anything that i can do??

You most likely have a corrupt registry hive. Here's a thread where I've posted some instructions awhile back. Scroll down a little and it shows how to fix your problem.
