Yesterday i saw the Microsoft’s table PC technology in one of the tech shows on TV and it kind of left me speechless.. Has anyone else happened to see it? It was just amazing, i know its going to cost a fortune but it definitely gives a picture of what the future devices are going to be like. To describe it briefly it's a table shaped PC where the table top is the screen and all the processing is happening under the table (pun unintended). You could just sit and watch videos, sort photographs while you have a drink!! Also its integration with other devices was seamless. Photographs from a digi-cam can be transferred by just placing the cam on the top and then it could be as easily transferred to another device. And the screen is obviously touch-screen, something like the ipod's.
Kept me thinking, what else we can expect in future? What would be most interesting? How about a wall PC? The screen makes the wall. As soon as I enter the house the wall greets me and gives me all kind of information- Missed Calls-People who came and left-Scheduled Events-Food in fridge the list just goes on. Reminds me my gf's bday and what can I get for her or my parents anniversary!! Whatever it is I’m certain the next step has to be devices that can communicate with us using speech command and not just clicks. I think I’m watching a lot of sci-fi these days but it's all coming to reality and I’m sure as excited as hell.
