I am facing a problem, when ever i opt to search a file or folder the search windows is blank it seems that search option is disabled.. Request for a help on the above issue. Attaching a snap shot of the search window

Seems like this is registry-related problem.
Try toggling search companion. It might jolt the search back to normal.
