Alright, this problem has been plaguing my computer for some time now. Whenever I start my computer and log in, everything runs smoothly, but as soon as my desktop pops up, my task bar locks up and I can't click on it.

Everything else works great. I can click on desktop icons and everything, but when I roll over the taskbar with the mouse, it changes into the "sandclock" pointer icon.

I've ran every scan in the book. I have Norton AntiVirus 2004, SystemWorks, and PersonalFirewall. I ran AdAware, Spybot S&D, but to no avail. I fixed all the problems, but it keeps happening.

I'm already planning a complete system wipe, but I have to back up some files and get a new CD drive first.

Alright. This is all jacked up. I went into MSCONFIG and checked selective startup and it's all back to normal. Go figure. My system rebooted just fine. Thanks anyway. lol :)
