Hi everyone,
I owned a HP Pavilion slimline for 3 years now, I bought it without the vista installation disk, after a power cut the machine is asking me for vista installation cd to repair the system. I tried to fix it by every means(safe mode, last know good config, recouvery....) nothing works
Please some help will be much appreciated.

Probably a bad hard drive, I had this before if the bios can't find a vista partition it loads a built in vista repair console do you get a status bar that runs and runs for hours? If so the hard drive may have gone bad and it can't find a valid windows partition
