What modem do you have ???? Is it really that old that your using USB and not a Cat6 cable ?

Allow Windows 7 to search for the drivers online, it will install automatically. If this doesn't work somehow, search for drivers on internet and install manually.

write your modem name into the google,and write next to it that win7 driver
"your modem's name driver windows 7"

also look at the modem manufacturers website that may have a driver. It is also possble that ther eis no driver available , this is especially true if
it is an old modem
or
you are using win 7 64 bit with no drivers yet available.
Another alternative might be to load the vista driver but tell win 7 to run the modem in xp or vista compatibility mode.
