Hi,

Need help exorcise Asus laptop (old) with windows xp.

Shortly after start and windows loaded unit enters what appears a freeze state. Hard disk stops and enters into intermittent clicking, like sending morse--dah dit dit dah. this occurs for about five times, then works a for about a second and repeats the process. After about four repeats it continues to work properly. If however the clicking stops eveything freezes and after some 20seconds the blue screen appears: kernel stack input error .
