I'm working on someones 6000 series compaq computer. The original harddrive was replaced and windows was reinstalled on the new harddrive. The problem is when i got to boot it up it goes through POST, i see the compaq screen then i see the windows loading screen and from there it jumps back to the compaq screen and just keeps repeating this cycle. Does anyone have any suggestions? cmos settings are default at this point. thks.

If you have a bootable cd of xp ...then you can boot from the cd and repair your installation.
