I have an HP Pavilon ze5200, and I wanted to know what happens if I press the 'reset' button that is under the Computer.

It will probably reset it-- you know, the same thing as turning the power on and off quickly.

It is a system reset button just as alc6379 said. Check out your laptop's reference guide on page 1-17.
