I cannot download adobe flashplayer on my Windows/XP - IE 8.0 system. Adobe's site says my config. is incompatible. It absolutely is not. I've a 3>0 Ghz processor; IE 8.0; 1.00 GB of RAM & 512 MB of graphics memory. Has anyone encountered this and found a work around?

Is your XP sp3? If not you will need sp3 from the microsoft website.

Yes, it's SP3. I keep everything pretty well up to date. I double checked the Adobe requirements and I meet or exceed them all. I'll check again and, if all else fails, try to download an older version.
