Hey everyone,

I have a question for you all: I have Windows XP, and it has magically stopped working. When it starts booting up it goes to that black screen with the safe mode option (and the other ones like network prompt). The problem is, is that when I try to get into windows (by any of those options provided) it doesn't work, and just re-boots and goes into the cycle again. When I try and do it by command prompt it gets frozen at some system file (I think it's a driver of somesort) called MUP.sys. I really don't know what to do (if anything can be done) but any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks

Did you google Mup.sys?
Obviously not, or you wouldn't have needed to post.
Anyway, if you can't get in at all your only real option is to reinstall windows. Hope you backed up. If you didn't backup and want to before reinstalling, hook your hard drive into another PC as a slave to get your files first.
