THis morning, my PC just kept rebooting itself, I could see a BSOD but it flashed up and disappeared far too quickly to read. Is there any way of doing something so it can be read?
I have got past that after running SpinRite, and that picked up an unrecoverable disk error and after that it stopped rebooting.
However on starting windows, it came up with the message that the C: drive needed checking and proceeded to run chkdsk,
chkdsk completed part 1 ok, but when it came to part 2 (indexes) it just hung at 0%.
I can now go all the way by ignoring the disk check, How do I replace chkdsk with a working version?

I doubt it is a problem with your chkdsk, I would look into replacing the drive if spinrite detected errors it couldn't fix. p.s. make sure you backup ASAP.
