I have been trying to reformat win xp pro. I have the cd. I put it in. I selected "boot from cd" etc, etc. When I turn my pc on and it goes into the setup menu, it doesn't even get to the place where i can delete partitions. It just doesn't exist or something. I don't know what to do. The only thing I can do is repair or install a clean copy of xp. But I tried both. Repairing doesn't do anything, and when I install a new copy, all my programs are still there. Its like it doesn't work. Any ideas?

hi fuzzy, i think you just press the wrong selection..i can't exactly remember on how to get to that menu that the installer will ask you to delete or format the hdd..just try to play with the choices..or maybe someone else here will give you the step by step on how to do it...
