I am using XP. I just got a new mobo and did a fresh reinstall. I install the gpu driver and then restart and it wont load windows, It then proceeds to go to a screen with tiny dots or one that has multiple vertical lines all over the screen. I am using an Abit Kv8-Max3 mobo and a ati radeon x850pro 256mb agp, AMD 64 3000+.

Have a look at your BIOS settings and play with the AGP options (like disabling fast write); going from 8x to 4x. Make one change at a time to observe results.
