Hi,

I have a home network with 3 pc and a Xbox. Every computer can share files with each other, exept me. I can access other computer but the other computer can't access my computer.They can see that i'm there tough when they try to access my computer it gives them the error, computer is not accessible ... check the permissions with admin

1- My Guest account is on
2- reinstalled File and printer sharing
3- did the netword setup wizard a couple times
4- reinstalled nic card drivers


The problem seems to be the users permissions but i cant put the finger on the exact problem.

Anyone has an idea ?

sounds like a firewall issue.

the firewall is off

i've just noticed that if i try \\computer\foldershared i can acces the folder.

but not \\computer

check the network browser service is started under control panel -> admin tools -> services

i dont see this service in the service panel.

I see Nb service but not Network Browsing service. Its not there
