This thread began with asking for proxy servers to get around corporate blocks. Replies include a posted proxy list from and reports from and that UltraSurf and similar tools failed; suggested using search. The pattern in the replies is familiar: public web proxies and consumer "circumvention" tools are short-lived, often blocked quickly, and can introduce real risks.

A quick technical note explains why many of those tools fail on corporate networks. Enterprises usually use explicit HTTP/HTTPS proxies, proxy authentication or PAC files, DNS/IP filtering, outbound port restrictions and TLS/HTTPS inspection at the gateway. Those controls can prevent tunnels from forming, break SSL connections or trigger alerts. Free web proxies and unknown executables also carry privacy and security hazards — injected content, session theft, adware or worse — so they are not a safe long‑term fix.

Recommended, policy‑safe steps for legitimate access:

  • Gather diagnostics before filing a request: exact URL(s), time(s) attempted, exact browser error text or HTTP response code, and whether the site works from a non‑corporate network. That information makes a helpdesk ticket actionable.
  • Use formal channels: submit a helpdesk ticket with manager endorsement and a clear business justification, and ask for a whitelist or an approved access method (API, managed social tool, or a controlled exception). IT teams can often provide sanctioned alternatives (sandboxed browsers, dedicated service accounts, or partner access).
  • If the need is strictly personal, follow company BYOD and acceptable‑use rules; personal mobile data on an entirely separate device is the usual non‑work option, but mixing personal devices with corporate accounts can create policy and privacy issues.

Summary: short-lived proxy lists and "crackers" are unreliable and risky. The safest route for legitimate needs is documented business requests and IT-approved solutions; for personal browsing, follow company policy and keep it off managed corporate systems.

here you will find a huge list of web proxies:
