Hi all. I pretend to know what I am doing on computers :) and recently watched as my fiancees brother was able to log onto any computer from his laptop. I was thinking he was using the Remote Desktop sharing thing on XP but was a bit confused because it was not stuttery at all. It was as if his laptop was that computer!
Any ideas or was he just using Remote Desktop? The last memory I had of that is that it was a bit stuttery.

He was probably using remote desktop. On a fairly quick connection remote desktop does almost seem like your at the computer. You may be remembering the days of VNC, (which still is) rather slow in most cases.
VNC is gotten pretty fast now. I think your brother in law might be using a different program. Logmein could be it, but let me ask you this, was he connecting through a web browser?
