i keep geting this "C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe" when i try to up date or change settings on the LT/laptop operating win7 ultimate

Keep getting what? Error? AV alert? File not found?

yes file not found how do i repair this error? can anybody help with solution i'll be happy "C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe"

you can boot from the Windows DVD and go to the repair option from there.

You can try "sfc /scannow" from administrative command line, or just run a repair from the install media as indicated above.
