I found a beta of longhorn on another forum(for legal purposes i am not allowed to say the name of the site [forum rules]). Once it is down downloading i will install it on a virtual pc. But right now i think that 2006 is a little fast for a new windows to be released. Xp should just be updated with the new features but you know Micro$oft all they want is for people to by more expensive porducts like office for $500 that is ridiculous (thats where bittorrent steps in hint hint.)

Killer_Typo commented: its never good to hint hint at illegally downloading an app that costs money, and the fines you will pay if caught, are far wrose than if you ever have to pay for the program alone. +0

these look like they could be viruses. i would set a system restore point and remove these.

C:\WINNT\System32\SK9910DM.EXE
C:\WINNT\GWMDMMSG.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GWMDMMSG] GWMDMMSG.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GWMDMpi] C:\WINNT\GWMDMpi.exe

here is a good post on how to detect viruses in spyware in hijackthis. It also tells you how to effectively remove viruses.

hey mastadex did you see this part of the post
"-Cleaning your system:
-Clean the inside of your pc very carefully to make sure that no dust is clogging fans or anything like that.
-uninstall old or useless programs that you dont want or need anymore so that you create space on your computer for better stuff or whatever
-Delete your old registry files: after you uninstall software a registry key is still left behind so you want to get rid of those so that they dont conflict with new registry files. Goto start<run<regedt32 then expand the folders HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and expand the subfolder software then scroll down the list and delete any registry keys for programs that you have uninstalled (be carefull while doing this and if you downloaded a trial then bought the serial make sure you that you arent going to get that app again or that you have the serial somewhere)."
next time read it before you tell me what i missed
