I can create a folder named 'com' on the desktop. What OS are you using?

Sorry actually com1,com2,com3,com4,com5,com6 are the names with which i am not able to create the folder on desktop.
may i know the reason why?
also need help if possible to create that.
I am using windows XP os.

com1, etc. are reserved names. They are used by the system to represent the serial ports on your computer. The OS needs to reserve these names due to the way it treats files, folders and serial ports internally.
