I am creating a system where I need to split incoming payments into payments to suppliers, commissions to sales person or outsourced sales company or both. And it can get more complicated as the commission could be split even further, say if the sales company need to split up their commission to their sales person. And if this sales person didn't generate the lead that made the purchase, the sales person may have to have his commission split and give a part to the person that generated the lead.
So a basic requirement of making commission payouts on sales can quickly become big when we trace all the levels of commission payout that can happen.
Does anyone have an idea for a good design on such a scenario? I have played with the thought of using the rules engine in Workflow Foundation as a standalone unit, but I am not convinced that this is the best solution.
Any feedback is appreciated, as I am working on this project alone and don't have a collegue to discuss this with...
