Hi everyone -

I am currently reviewing 'Absolute C++' 3rd Edition book by Professor Savitch - I would like opinions from fellow list member regarding the book, please:

1) What are your opinions about the above text - Pros & Cons
2) What other texts can you 'strongly' recommend?
3) What are your experiences with 'Problem Solving with C++' by the same author?
4) Is there a C++ text that really tops it all? - This is perhaps a poll too....i.e. (A) bookname - basic level; (B) bookname - Intermediate level; or (C) bookname - Advanced level.

The readership level relating to the books you recommend should be stated i.e. 'Absolute C++' is levelled at intermediate level i.e. first year undergraduates.

Thankyou for you comments (in advance!). Appreciated!

Usman

See the Read Me threads at the top of this C++ forum. It contains lots of information about books etc. No point repeating all that information in this thread when it's already readilable available to everyone.
