I have a file that goes with a java program, and when the program executes its prints out whats in the data file. But when i try to view the file itself It shows some of the names in the file, and all these weird symbols. How can I view everything in this file correctly? when I clicked on its properties the file type was File

This is going to sound stupid but did you try to open it as plain text... like in wordpad? (Or you can do so in other editors). And what is the file extension? Like .txt for example or .java
