I'm having trouble trying to specify a counter for three loops to control the animation time.
At the same time the application must display the current position of the button to move at any time as well as the current values of two increments.

Without seeing your code, it is hard to imagine what you are talking about... and perhaps a better explanation of what you are trying to accomplish might be in order...
