Which type of basic came first? Is there muchly of a difference?

QBasic came first with Dos and windows 3.1. Huge differences.

basically states that Microsoft basic evolved into Qbasic. Also gives a history
of predacessors and other versions. its not the gospel though.
I was unable to locate a full version history although both have been around for sometime. Qbasic since 1980 i believe.
it is natural to assume that Vbasic (Visual Basic) came sometime later.
The major difference is interface & ease of use..
