root.mainloop()Inline Code Example Here

You have: from tkinter import *.
Should be: Tkinter

i tried already its not working

Running this stripped down version works on my machine

from tkinter import *
root = Tk()
calc = Frame(root)
calc.grid()

root.title("Calculator")
text_box = Entry(calc, justify=RIGHT)
text_box.grid(row = 0, column = 0, columnspan = 3, pady = 5)
text_box.insert(0, "0")

root.mainloop()

im using pyscripter 3.2.5.1

The whole code works for me? with the "inline code example here" at the bottom taken away (running python 3)

Did you by accident create a file
tkinter.py
in your working directory (where your program code is)?
It would be imported first.

I agree with vegaseat, try

import tkinter
print(tkinter)
