I had the same requirement recently and tried the SysInfo PST Converter. It lets you convert PST files to EML, MSG, MBOX, PDF and a few other formats. I mainly liked it because I could convert the emails in bulk instead of saving them one by one. Attachments and folders were also retained, which made the process easier for my old PST archive.
