I am currently working on a project based on google maps api's. This is a website with a back-end database. I am trying to find out how to save a route that a user creates on my website map (from point a to point b), into my database, just by simply clicking a 'save' button on the interface. This is so that the user can recall all of his/her saved routes at a later stage. I have the search points from origin to destination working fine, all I need is some help with this feature.

To clarify, I would like to know how to save a search from MY google maps api into MY database so that it can be recalled at a later stage in a 'History of previously searched routes' type feature.

All advice would be much appreciated, Thank you.
